We are looking for an assistant to help move people and projects forward
across Korean cuisine, gastronomy, culture and a global network.
You will work closely with JungYoon Choi, Founder of NANRO Foundation and Chair of World’s 50 Best Restaurants for Korea, supporting her work and helping run NANRO’s projects in Korea and abroad.
This is not a simple scheduling role. It is closer to a hands-on partner who quickly organizes and executes across people, schedules, email, events and materials.

Responsibilities
1. Scheduling and communication
- Manage meetings and schedules
- Coordinate schedules with partners in Korea and abroad
- Monitor email and handle routine replies
- Prepare briefings and materials before meetings
- Maintain key contacts and stakeholder relationships
2. NANRO operations support
- Liaise with patrons and key stakeholders
- Prepare Nanrohoe gatherings and other events
- Confirm attendees and manage RSVPs
- Send invitations, notices and reminders
- Organize materials and follow-ups after events
3. Travel and external schedules
- Organize domestic and international travel itineraries
- Confirm flight, hotel and restaurant bookings
- Organize event and meeting schedules
- Prepare necessary materials and contact details in advance
4. Documents and records
- Organize files in Google Drive / Docs / Sheets
- Update contacts and databases
- Record meeting notes and task lists
- Organize expenses, receipts and simple settlement records
5. Simple design and content
- Create simple design files with tools such as Canva
- Produce invitations, event notices and social media images
- Edit existing templates and materials
- Archive photos and event materials
Who we are looking for
- Someone who organizes many tasks quickly and sets priorities
- Someone meticulous with email and schedule management
- Someone comfortable communicating with people
- Someone who finds what needs to be done rather than waiting for instructions
- Someone familiar with Google Drive / Docs / Sheets
- Someone able to do basic design work with tools such as Canva
- Someone who can flexibly handle a variety of work in a small organization
Preferred qualifications
- Experience as an executive secretary or Executive Assistant
- Experience in startups, VC, F&B or culture-related industries
- Experience running events and projects
- Able to communicate by email in English
- Able to use design tools such as Canva / Adobe
- Experience creating social media content
What makes this role different
This is a little different from a traditional secretary role that manages one person’s schedule.
You will work with NANRO’s chefs, entrepreneurs, investors, patrons, media and partners in Korea and abroad, and gain experience with World’s 50 Best Restaurants and a range of global gastronomy projects.
It is especially well suited to someone who enjoys meeting people, managing relationships, and turning complex schedules into real execution.
