Selected as NANRO Next's fourth Fellow, sommelier HyunSoo Ma came up through Michelin-starred MUOKI as its sommelier before taking her current post as head sommelier of the two-Michelin-starred Soigné. She also writes as a columnist for Sommelier Times and is a member of SOMMZ, a crew of young Korean sommeliers. She holds the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines and the Certified Sommelier credential from the Court of Master Sommeliers, and has completed its Advanced Sommelier Course.
She has long believed that a sommelier's real service is to travel to the vineyards, listen to the winemakers' story and philosophy, and carry it into the guest's glass. As the only sommelier among a program largely made up of chefs, she joins NANRO Next as its fourth Fellow to shape the completion of fine dining through the language of the glass.
