Joining NANRO Next as a patron, Jang Dong-Ha built his management footing in consulting and finance at Hanwha Life and Galeb & Company before joining Kyowon Group in 2011 as a manager in its new-business team. Over the fifteen years since, he has driven the group's non-education businesses — funeral, travel, and lifestyle — from small footholds to more than 37% of group revenue. He first led Kyowon Life in 2016, turning it to profit in a year, and after returning as CEO in 2024, took its accumulated deposits past KRW 1.7 trillion to secure the number-two spot in the industry. Appointed sole CEO of Kyowon Co. in 2025 and Group General CEO from 2026, he is now designing the next axis of growth that runs from education into full life-care.
His days are shaped by the balance between protecting what has already taken root and opening what has not yet been built. It gives him a natural feel for the chefs who are only beginning to open brands in their own names, and it is the reason he has joined NANRO Next as a patron of that journey.
